Welcome to Our Virtual Museum
The Beaver Creek Arms Virtual Museum highlights some of the finest items encountered over the years. The items are offered, in part, as examples of historical documentation that we encourage everyone to utilize. Please document the provenance and history of the items in your care to place them in a historical perspective for future generations. Remember, we are the caretakers of future history.
Thomas “Boston” Corbett was one of 26 enlisted men from the 16th New York Cavalry who surrounded John Wilkes Booth and David Herold in the Garrett farm tobacco barn on April 25th, 1865. After the barn had been fired, Corbett shot through the slats inflicting a mortal wound in the right side of Booth’s neck. His pistol was a Model 1860 Army Colt. Over the next few days, he received several offers to purchase his pistol, but it ultimately ended up being stolen. Its whereabouts have long since been lost to history. Possibly, out there today in someone’s collection lays one of the most famous and valuable guns in U.S. History. If your gun has a history, even if you’re a thief, write it down. It’s your duty.
Your family’s souvenirs are a treasured part of American history. Many of these souvenirs brought back by veterans have become relics without a story.
Sell me your souvenirs for a fair price and allow me to document the personal history that goes with them. I will record and preserve your family’s place in history for future generations of Americans.
Explore Firearms
Early collectible firearms are made mostly of wood and steel. Handmade antique guns are unique in their individuality. Each forging hammer strike, file mark or carving mark leaves a bit of personal history upon the weapon. Firearms made after the Industrial Revolution lose this gunsmith’s touch. These guns are largely differentiated by Model and Serial Number.
The Firearms shown in this Virtual Museum are unique in yet another way. Rarity, condition or history makes them stand out from all the others like them.
Explore Helmets
Combat helmets are very common and collectible. Starting in WWI nearly every soldier had one. Perhaps 20 million have been made between 1915 and 1950, at one time they were all new. Most collectors attempt to find the example that is most like factory new. A difficult task, as there always seems to be one just a bit better.
The helmets shown in this Virtual Museum are not like that. These are individually unique and may show combat damage or personalization in the form of camouflage or other paint decoration.
Explore Other Items
All manner of items were brought back by young American soldiers. They may have been items for self-protection in urban areas or items for hunting in rural areas. Perhaps they were intended as gifts for family and friends or just a memento of war time service. Possibly they were taken from surrendering enemy soldiers, battlefield pickups, or found in a dresser drawer.
Souvenirs such as: Medals, Flags, Daggers, Optics, Silver, China, Bayonets, Swords, Photo Albums and other items that would appeal to a young man, proud to be alive, are featured in this museum.

This Virtual Museum is dedicated to Lieutenant Colonel Don B. Clark and the men and women who fought to keep our great nation free.
The sacrifices of the mothers, wives, and other family members should not be forgotten, both before and after the war. Remember, P.T.S.D. was an unknown diagnosis in the 1950’s
