J.P.D. AIRBORNE Medic Helmet

This early Helmet shell has a heat lot number 58B, with a front seam and fixed bales. The most significant features are the snap tabs on the chin strap intended to secure the shell to the parachute helmet liner. There are two red crosses painted within white circles, front and back. The medics initials are painted on each side, J.P.D. His identification is painted on the inside; “J.P.D. 1Bn. C co. U.S. 50367912” Additional research required.
